Yesterday I had the pleasure of going to the 'Yayoi Kusama' exhibition that's currently on at the Tate Modern. For those of you hadn't heard of her before (I hadn't either!), she's one of Japan's best-known living artists. Now in her 80s, Kusama has worked obsessively for nearly 70 years, developing an extensive body of work including painting, sculpture, drawing, collage and installations. There are several recurring themes in her work, most memorable (for me at least) is her tendency to cover everything in spots!

It was incredibly busy at the exhibition due to half term, but I guess that just goes to prove how popular an exhibition it is for children too. The real highlights were two installation rooms, one where everyday objects are covered in glow-in-the-dark spots, and another with mirrored walls and little coloured balls of light that reflect everywhere. They're both a bit crazy but incredibly beautiful, much like the artist herself!

I think I'm still very much seeing spots, because I suddenly realised all of the lovely spotty dotty things we have on sale in the shop and online at the moment.

Whether it's a lovely My Happy Accident toy or dress (all of the Happy Accident and Minimod dresses are reversible, many with a spotty lining!), an organic cotton Fozia baby grow or some wild giraffe print tights, there are spots to cater for any taste!

So why not put on your best spotty outfit and head down to the exhibition, we're sure you'll be dotty about it!

This morning we got a lovely email thanking us for a customised baby grow order we recently made. 'Worth the wait' looked perfect in gold writing with a pretty silver star (although I did get slightly confused on the phone with 'worth the wait/ weight in gold'!) and it was certainly well received...

"Just wanted to say a big thank you for our gorgeous Baby Gro we received today in the post. Its totally perfect and we can't wait to see our new arrival in it!"

...how lovely is that?

It's always so nice to hear when someone loves their new and unique carry me home gift. Below is a little showcase compiling some of the customised orders we've had recently. Often people get inspiration by looking at our existing designs (online and in the shop) and adapting them. No ask is too big or small and we're always happy to help you decide on what to say, what colours to pick or what pictures to have. This morning I got a very nice surprise when I was given this gingerbread man, free with my morning coffee. And very tasty he was too! So I thought I'd spread the love, Carry Me Home style :)

Here at Carry Me Home we're surrounded by lots of colourful, bright and cheerful goodies, it's like being in the middle of a rainbow!

So, if your little one will only wear red, or play with orange toys, or if they're just singing a rainbow...we're sure to have something to make them smile. Just looking at all these vibrant, fun baby clothes, gifts and toys is a feast for the eyes!

We've added some new and exciting products online. The fab 'tiny universe picture book' teaches those all important first words such as 'caviar', and 'champagne', and makes an excellent funny present for the baby who has everything. There are two new bears joining our online bear family, so let's hope Hubert and Red are settling in well. It's that old familiar feeling, we've had all the excitement of Christmas and New Year, and now we have... January. The weather is a bit, well not really anything, and we're all feeling deflated after all of that festive excitement.

So we thought we'd share some Carry Me Home joy, and give everyone 12 good reasons to smile in 2012! (No workout DVDs or diet plans here, promise!)

8. The Grayson Perry exhibition at the British Museum. I wouldn't suggest you take the kids, but this is a lovely exhibition featuring lots of strange artefacts collected from the British Museum's archives, alongside new and old works by Grayson Perry (ceramics, tapestries...iron cast death ships) The real reason to go? The show is a complete homage to Grayson's teddy bear Alan Measles, who features everywhere. The picture below shows Alan Measles' own version of the popemobile, in which he and Perry toured Germany. 9. Alan Measles the teddy bear is 50 years old, and cherished by his owner. We like to think our Carry Me Home bears are worthy of that kind of devotion. Like Hubert here. I'm sure he'd love to have his own exhibition!

We came up with some Christmas present ideas for boys last week, and as promised here are some lovely things that have been popular recently and that we think would make brilliant gifts for girls.

As you can see above, we have lots of lovely little gifts that will appeal to any little lady (and probably their mums too!). From beautiful accessories (because a girl can never have too many) such as the giraffe print tights and mary jane socks, to a pretty breakfast set (for ladies who breakfast?!) and a guitar rattle, for any aspiring little rockers.

I don't know about you, but in our house one of the best things about Christmas is unwrapping lots of amazing surprises, filling the room with lots of lovely shiny paper. What could be better than waking up to a mountain of small gifts, all waiting to be unwrapped?

That's why I thought I'd share some of our small but perfect gifts instore and online. They make brilliant little pressies, wonderful stocking fillers or a nice something extra for someone special, just because.

It's a Carnaby Christmas

To get everyone in the festive spirit (there's only 25 days to go!!) we thought we'd give you a little peek at the Carnaby Christmas lights. They're always a bit fun and a bit different, last year it was a spaceman Santa, this year we have enormous shiny holly and golden mistletoe. There's no avoiding it, Christmas is coming!!!

Don't panic if you haven't started thinking about presents yet, we'll be posting lots of gift ideas for the little ones in your life in the run up to the big day.

And the best news is...

It's practically December so mince pies are officially allowed. Yum!

I don't know about you, but we've been feeling a definite chill in the air here in Kingly Court. The clocks went back, long nights are drawing in and we've had to pop the heating on!

In the shop we've been selling a lot of winter warmers. We've got some lovely jumpers and cardigans for little men and little ladies that have been incredibly popular. The cherries cardigan has been such a hit that I just had to get one for myself as well! We're going to start putting some of these items on the website but I thought I'd give you a sneak peek first...

There are lots of cute hats as well. For those of you already feeling festive the christmas pudding hats are back again for another year. There are some gorgeous chunky knit hats from Rockafella, as modelled by Thomas the bear in the top image. My favourite have to be the little bear hats though, how cute are those tiny ears!

Kingly Court's very own rockabilly hairdressers 'It's Something Hells' has moved into a new shop here on the top floor (o.k. they basically moved along one) that is a rocking haven of cool quiffs and retro glamour. It's a much bigger shop and we think they've done a grand job kitting it out!

In honour of this bigger, badder new arrival I thought I'd share a peek at some of our rocking products in store and online with you. Because why not start rocking young?!

There's the new 'biker' baby grow from OhBabyLondon, with its multiple zips it makes baby oh so rock n' roll. For young musicians-to-be our guitar rattles ensure an early start, banging (or should that be rattling) out some awesome tunes. Ensure little ones look the part in our very own 'rock baby' baby grows or how about a 'little rocker' stripy baby grow, that announces to the world "I Rock"?

It may only be rock n' roll, but we like it :)

Power of Making

Last week I went to the Victoria & Albert Museum in South Kensington to see the (free!) exhibition 'Power of Making'. I'd really recommend it to anyone who is interested in how things are made and the skills that are involved in making. It's amazing to see the methods of production and labours of love that are required to craft some of the weird and wonderful creations! The V&A themselves describe the exhibition as a celebration of '...the role of making in our lives...an eclectic collection of over 100 exquisitely crafted objects, ranging from a life-size crochet bear to a ceramic eye-patch...'

This of course reminded me of all the lovely made objects in the shop. There are our babygrows, t-shirts and bibs which we lovingly create right here in Kingly Court, London. And who could forget our incredibly popular Carry Me Home bears? They are unique to us, beautifully made and make the best presents ever!

Not only do we make wonderful products, but we find other people who are excellent makers and crafters and sell their lovely wares online and in the shop. It's hard to say no to a My Happy Accident or Minimod toy or dress knowing the care and skill that goes into making them.

In fact, why go to the exhibition at all? The power of making can be found at Carry Me Home!

A walk on the wild side...

This week we have met lots of cute animals on our travels around town and in the shop! There have been cats, hamsters and guinea pigs and a trip to a donkey sanctuary. Even this morning on my journey to work a squirrel fell out of a tree and landed right in front of me. Luckily I don't think he was hurt, just a bit startled and embarrassed, he ran off very quickly!

In the shop we have a veritable zoo full of lots of lovely toys (Sam and Oliver the Whimsy Foxes shown above and a beautiful handmade Happy Accident elephant pictured below are just a couple of examples). There are also lots of printed dresses, baby grows and sets with a range of very cute and cuddly animals featured. There's something cool and unique for every young animal fan!

And... while the temperature is dropping and those squirrels are collecting nuts (or falling out of trees) in preparation for hibernating, little ones can stay snugly and warm throughout the winter months in these fun leopard print all-in-ones. There's even a fur lined hood for added cuddly-ness. As usual everything is available in the shop or on our website. Purr-fect!

London Calling

We've just received a brand new delivery of our best-selling telephone box and red bus lights, available again instore and on the website. Which got me thinking...

Lots of our products are made in the U.K and of course we design our own babygrows, bibs, hats and t-shirts right here in the shop, just off Carnaby Street. Carnaby Street itself is an iconic London destination, full of cool swinging sixties mod history. It's a pretty great place to be, there's always something going on (I walked out to get some lunch on Saturday to be met with a Zombie march!?) we're never bored!

Whether you're a day-tripper, a holiday maker or a born and bred Londoner, there's still nothing quite as cool for babies as rocking out London style with a rockbaby babygrow and union jack trousers, illuminated by some phone box lights!!

Carry Me Home is not only an amazing baby boutique! Many moons ago, long before we opened our lovely little shop in Kingly Court, Carry Me Home was born in London's Old Spitalfields Market. From our stall we sold all of our lovely babygrows, bibs and hats. And the best bit is...we still do! Every Sunday we have our busy stall, selling all of our most popular designs (Rock Baby, I Love Chocolate and Strawberry bibs are all best sellers). The market makes for an excellent day out, bringing together all of London's best up and coming new designers and surrounded by lots of lovely cafes, restaurants and bars (we all know how exhausting shopping can be). It's located in the heart of trendy East London, and easy to get to thanks to close proximity to Liverpool Street station. Find us every week opposite the pizza restaurant 'Fire and Stone'. So, if you're in the area come and say hello!

I spotted the new edition of Baby London,magazine,and remembered journalist Sarah Peters saying we might be featured, Like all editorials , you take it all with a little pinch of salt, as they can change their minds at the last minute, has who to feature. But here we are... page 156.... they of course choose, the now famous picture of our wooden soldiers ,We do sell other things people :) x but heh were not complaining x thank you :)

Here are a few of our latest arrivals - we had a delivery of Whimsy dolls during the week. Each doll is handmade and unique. This is just a small secection of my favourites. I love Callista Mae's cute hair style, and Hailey Mae's little lemony dress is so cute! Quinby the fox is one of my absoloute favourites (love his green and white patterned arms and tail!) and Keira the bunny is just adorable! Look at her little face! As well as being completely unique, each doll is individually named and numbered. We have loads of lovely whimsy dolls waiting to be carried home in the shop, but they wont stick around for long! Here's just a little sneak peek at some of the lovely new things we've got arriving in store at the moment, ready for spring. These lovely little shirts arrived recently from Dandy Dodo. This is my favourite print (which i think would be nice for boys or girls), and it also comes in a more classic blue and white houndstooth pattern, and cute red and white stripes. Also new in are a selection of baby grows by Bee Bee. I like this one best, Ive got a thing for peter pan collars! Here's just a few of the new bits and pieces in the shop. We've got some really lovely new dresses from Steven, and Minimod. I love these two, especially the bird one. Remember they're reversible, so you get a cute pattern one side, and gingham or polkadots on the other! We have dresses in 6-12 months, 1-2 years and 2-3 years at the moment. A photo a day for a year

Here's my first few photos i was telling you about... they don't have much to do with anything but they're pretty to look at! Ive decided I'm going to take a photo every day for a year, but started on the 15th of February (just after i handed my dissertation in!). Im no expert at photography, and to be honest dont even know what kind of camera i have - i just like taking pictures of things that look nice! So here we have, a vintage duck (who has been a huge inspiration for my studio work at uni) some beads, a building in the city at night, some splashes of dye on the wall at uni, and some lovely vintage pins (my favourite thing to hoard is old packaging!). You might be wondering what we've been up to in the last month - not much has been going on with the blog, we've been so busy this last few weeks! So there's quite a bit of news to share with you. Starting with 2 very special new arrivals! Above is Mimi, Gayle's friends new baby girl, modelling our cute Mary Jane socks. Also, my cousin had a lovely baby boy, Alfie, who i went to meet last week. A slightly belated congratulations on both new arrivals from Carry Me Home!

Also, we have had two exciting whole sale orders to tell you more about soon. And this morning we had order number 500 on our website! There's lots of lovely new stock in the shop, which i will share with you today and tomorrow. Steven popped in to see Gayle in the week too, and mentioned us on his blog.

So as well as everything in the shop keeping us busy, Ive been really busy with uni too. I finally got my dissertation handed in on Monday (74 pages!!), and am now getting stuck into my final collection! Ive also set myself a little challenge, to take a photo a day for a year, and share them on facebook - i might share them with you guys too if I'm not feeling to shy!

Lorna Freytag is our new favourite photographer here at Carry Me Home! She creates unique and and enchanting children's portraits, inspired by fairy tales and magical landscapes. Here are a small selection of our favourites, it was hard to choose - they are all so lovely! Gayle loves the rocket picture - perfect for cheeky little monkeys! My favourite has got to be the one with beach huts and ice creams (two of my favourite things!). Laura has a great mix of beautiful, classic portrait settings, and magical, fairy tale portraits. Its getting to be a bit of a regular occurrence - me forgetting my camera! Luckily Gayle saved the day by emailing in some photos she had on her phone of our super cute sheepskin boots and mittens. Wow I've been lazy with the blog recently! What with Christmas and New Year being at the weekend this year we weren't at work on 'Outfit of the week' day. To make up for missing the last 2 Sundays I've worked extra hard on putting these looks together, and i think they're my favourite yet! Normal blogging service now resumed!

For girls is one of Steven's dresses made from my favourite fabric EVER! This is 6-12 months, but we also have it in 1-2 years (and lots of other lovely dresses from 6-12 months right up to 2-3 years). It looks cute layered over this bright yellow long sleeved top, which makes it more practical for winter too. Glammed it up a bit with a pearl bib, and added one of Gayle's Monkey hats to keep little ears cosy. And to finish the outfit off, a pair of super cute socks! These socks come in sets of 6 (for only £14.95 - what a bargain!), all in beautiful colours, and packaged up in a cute box.

And for the boys is one of our most popular baby grows at the moment - organic cotton by Fozia. So cute in navy! This grow is 3-6 months, we also have it in 6-12 months (and it comes in bright pink for girls too!). This little knitted hat with cute ear flaps matches the polka dots, and an apple bib brightens the outfit up. The green socks are similar to the girls socks, in that they come in a set of 6 in a lovely little box. These green ones are the trainer version - for boys we also have cowboy socks and skater socks! The boxes feature really sweet illustrations on the top, making them a really nice little gift.

Here are some pictures of bunting Ive made recently - Ella, Gracie and Callums mums kindly sent us some pictures to put on the blog!

I seem to have made i mistake with the boys bunting though - i made it to say 'Callum' but that's not Callum in the picture - that's superman!? I went for lovely bright primary coloured fabric patterned with polka dots, gingham, numbers, spacemen and stripes.

Gracie's mum asked for bright, graphic fabric so i went for a mostly pink and green colour palette, with cupcakes, polka dots, butterflies, apples, strawberries and numbers and i think it looks fab with Gracie's bright floral wallpaper.

Ella (Gracie's little sister) needed a soft, vintage colour palette for her bunting so i used lots of pale pink and green fabric - florals, gingham, kittens and spots. And in the corner - it looks like Ella has one of our lovely white 'Thomas' bears - lucky girl!

Carry Me Home bunting is made to order. Just tell us the name or word you would like, if there are any particular fabrics or themes you want, and what colours you fancy! Wow! Gayle is in this months Childrens Wear Buyer magazine! Shes on page 12 - an interview about Christmas sales, here it is!

Are you feeling confident about sales in the run up to Christmas? I think you have to feel confident at this time of year, if at no other time. We have so many beautiful things; hand made toys are our usual best sellers, such as the Carry Me Home bear from our own inhouse brand - and we have some lovely knitwear this season, too. There's massive competition from online sites but I'm hoping our online purchases will make up about 20% of sales and, though I'm finding customers are spending a little less than last year, we've already had more sales online. In terms of going into sale this winder, we wont do so until January; i don't like to feel pressured to go into sale and you cant compete with the large stores, so i don't. Are you doing anything special instore to help attract more Christmas shoppers? We're involved in Grazia magazines Christmas party evening, where all the shops in the London area offer 20 per cent off one night in the run up to Christmas. There's music and drinking and hopefully lots of shopping. We also offer this discount to our online customers who cant make it.
Are you providing any extra services instore? We provide a custom-made service all year round, which does really well at Christmas. All of the inhouse Carry Me Home designs can be personalised with names or anything the customer would like. We also have custom-made bunting this year; customers can choose the fabrics if they want to or we can match it to their room decoration.

Can you believe its only 6 days till Christmas?! This time next week i will be scoffing chocolates and watching old films on the telly! Anyway, For the girls outfit this week, i had to use one of our new skirts. This is my favourite one, really bright pink. We also have the skirt in a lovely sugary pink, and white too. They are 1-2 years - Perfect for little princesses! Clashed it with a long sleeve tuxedo top for a very smart look, and added one of Stevens brightly coloured brooches too.

A very cool look for the boys. One of our new baby grows from 'Rock your baby' - goes perfectly with an 'I'm with the band' bib and some cute blue socks. For boys this week is our ever popular anchor play suit, new in with longer sleeves and legs to make it extra cosy. Its goes perfectly with our sheep skin mittens and Dylan the bear! Ive gone for some nice, red, festive looks this week (I'm starting to feel Christmasy now that uni is finished!). For the girls is a cute reversible Minimod dress. Pink and red strawberries on one side, and really bright polka dots on the other. This dress is in 1 - 2 years, but we have lots of other dresses (by Minimod and Steven) from 6 -12 months right up to 2 - 3 years. This dress goes perfectly with our stripy red and white cardi, and to give the outfit a festive feel Ive added a white knitted berry hat and a pink Christmas pudding bib.

For boys is a lovely little 'one off' Christmas baby Long sleeve top by Gayle. Its the only one we have this year, and its so cute! In 0 - 3 months for baby's first Christmas. Added a Micheal the Monkey toy and some cute trainer socks in navy, and a lovely knitted red berry hat. Hello! Sorry for the lack of blogging recently... here are 2 reasons why there hasnt been much news to share. The obvious one, the snow, which im sure has affected everyone this last week. This photo was taken between my house and the train station. Believe it or not there is a road under there somewhere! One night this week, i was stranded in London all night, another day i couldnt get into London at all (which was actually yesterday - sorry Gayle!), and another day it took me 3 hours to get in! Its started to melt now - hopefully it all goes away and then comes back on Christmas morning! I have also been really busy at uni this week, finishing of my project, which is being exhibited in the library at Chelsea College of Art (next to Tate Britain if your passing!). Its all finished now, so for the next few weeks i can concentrate on blogging and Christmas shopping! Hello - hope your all keeping warm! Theres no snow in London yet, but its very cold and frosty! Here are some cosy outfit ideas to warm you up. For girls is one of our new dresses from Steven - its size 6-12 months (but we have other dresses in 1-2 and 2-3 years as well!), its one of my favourites at the moment. I love the heart print on the front, but i love the polka dots on the back even more! Looks cute and colourful with a soft purple lambswool cardigan and Louis the Lion. For boys is our new I Rock jumper. We also have it and black and white stripes, and plain black, but its so cute in blue stripes! Available right up to 3 years. This week Ive used some of our lovely new sheepskin accessories in the outfits - very trendy! For boys is our cute fair isle jumper, worn with some stripy trousers (part of set), and some lovely fluffy sheepskin boots and matching hat. Oh and one of Stevens lovely new elephants!

For girls is a really cute red polka dot dress (on reverse - other side is some lovely graphic florals), a cute cream and brown cardigan, and some lovely mini ugg boots and mittens. I got so carried away blogging about all our lovely new stock last Sunday that i completely forgot to post the outfit of the week photos i had taken! So here they are, better late than never! For boys is our awesome new Louis the Lion grow from Olive and Moss. Love the grey stripes, they go really nicely with our hand knitted blanket. Added a lovely bear hat to keep little ears cosy, and a cool blue guitar rattle. For girls is one of Gayle's cutest designs - 'Daddy's little girl'. The pink looks really nice against the pale turquoisy blue of these little polka dot trousers (part of set), and our cute Margot the mouse toy has the exact shade of pink and blue on it! These amazing bibs also arrived during the week - I cant decide which is my favourite! You can choose between a sophisticated black bib with a string of pearls, a stripy 'mum and dad' tattoo style bib, or a red bib with 'Its ok, im with the band' on the front in silver - perfect for the budding rockstar! They look good worn with the matching t shirts or grows, but even cuter worn with clashing baby grows as I have shown here. Starting with some new things from Olive and Moss - meet Hetty the bunny. I LOVE the little rabbit hat that comes with this set! And the little polka dot trousers are so cute! We also got this cute Louis the lion stripy grow to go with the Louis toy and sleeping bag we already have in stock - the matching set would make a really lovely gift.

We have lots more new toys in too - more Louis the lions, Micheal the monkey and Margot the mouse, but they wont stick around for long, they always prove very popular! No i didn't forget! I was just waiting till it got dark to show you how nice Kingly Court is at this time of year! This is the view me and Gayle see at work! They are starting to put the decorations up on Carnaby street too, will show you next week. Its been such a busy weekend - i have a little production line going to package all the orders we are getting from our website. As soon as i have finished, another 2 orders come in! We've sold a crazy amount of our wooden soldier skittles, but as Gayle says, crazy is good! Now, I'm about to go home and finish my dreaded dissertation. More news next weekend!

Can you believe we are well into November already? Here are some nice cosy outfits to keep your little ones warm this winter! For boys is our cute braces grow, in 6-12 months. Love the bright vivid red against the grey and blue. And some pale blue socks and hat to keep little man warm, and a Patrick bear to keep him company! Remember Gayle can personalise these little hats with a name or message, and we have our limited edition bears in lots of different colours!

For girls is one of Minimods ever popular dresses. They come as small as 3-6 months, like this one, and go right up to 2-3 years. The bright print on this brown dress looks really good with this purple cardigan from little duckling. And our new cream berry hat matches the trim on the cardigan perfectly! Finished the look of with some little red Mary Jane socks to keep tiny toes warm.

So you better get started on your Christmas shopping if you haven't already! Lots of nice pressies on our website, and we've got some cute Christmas things in the shop too! Sorry for the lack of blogging today, but to be honest, Ive just been to busy selling things!

I also forgot my camera, so had to borrow a picture to show you how lovely Kingly Court looks with all the decorations and lights up! I will take some photos tomorrow to show you. The 'roof' is up now too, which means it feels really cosy!

2 more of our Whimsy dolls went to new homes today - all the way to Arizona! We said goodbye to Harry and Lisa Violet, but I'm sure their new owners will be very pleased to meet them soon! Lots of our customers have been picking up little bits and bobs ready for Christmas - i haven't had time to think about Christmas yet myself, as when I'm not in Carry Me Home I'm trying to write my dissertation! Its due in on Monday, so wish me luck! Normal blog service will be up and running after that! x

Do you prefer tea or coffee? - I used to love tea but recently have become obsessed with really strong coffee.

Favourite Carry Me Home Product? - Its got to be Gayle's "It started with a kiss" baby grow in white, its so cheeky! Im also obsessed with some little green and white stripy trousers from an Olive and Moss gift set.

Favourite colour? - A nice pastelly pinky lilac colour. The colour of my nail varnish!

Guilty pleasure? - Sometimes i hide a bar of chocolate in my bed before i go to sleep so that when i wake up in the morning i can eat it straight away!

What do you do when your not working at Carry Me Home? - Im in my final year of my textiles degree at Chelsea so mostly im either printing, drawing or trying to write my dissertation! If im not at Carry Me Home or uni then im shopping, worrying or travelling to and from uni or Carry Me Home!

Do you have any hobbies? - I love rummaging around car boot sales, charity shops, antique markets and skips. And Grazia.

Tell us an unexpected fact about yourself? - I once won a trophy for being 'best lady driver' in an auto test. I cant actually drive!

What superpower would you like to have? - The ability to function normally without any sleep, i go a bit crazy without my 8 hours a night!

What is your favourite food? - Chocolate. Or most types of cheese.

What was the last book or magazine you read? - I read Grazia magazine yesterday on the train, and i am TRYING to read The Theory of Shopping by Daniel Miller (and failing!)

What are your top 3 things to listen to? - The Specials, Sublime and i am obsessed with Hot Chip at the moment.

What item of clothing couldn't you live without? - Probably my little brown leather satchel which my mum got for me in a charity shop for 50p! Either that or my big baggy polka dot dress i found on ebay.

What was your best charity shop find? - My brown bag (see above) or my little Moschino bag which was only £10! Oh, and my glass dressing table, which was free because i found it in a skip.

Do you prefer tea or coffee? - Coffee in the morning to wake me up, tea in the afternoon and coffee in the evenings!

Favourite Carry Me Home Product? - My all time favourite is Patrick, the navy Carry Me Home bear, but at the moment i also love our new little duckling cardies.

Favourite colour? - To wear is Navy, i also love gold and cream together.

Guilty Pleasure? - That i made my boyfriend buy me a pair of red Mellisa Vivienne Westwood shoes, and have never worn them. I just keep them on a shelf to look at. They even came on holiday with me!

What do you do when your not working at Carry Me Home? - Think about Carry Me Home! I also like to spend time at home with my sister, and my boyfriend Dean, go to spinning classes, go out for cheeky mojitos, watch reality TV and look at clothes i want to buy!

What are your top 3 things to listen to? - Prince, George Micheal and vocal Happy House music, which is what i dance to when I'm out having cheeky mojitos!

What item of clothing couldn't you live without? - My navy blue cardigan from Zara, and my really expensive leggings from Lytess.

What was your best ever charity shop find? - A Framed picture of Marylin Monroe which i got for £10. Ive never seen it anywhere else so it was a bargain, and it looks great in my living room. And people ask me if its me! Ha ha!

Best thing about working at Carry Me Home? - Selling lovely things to lovely people. I like knowing that ive helped to choose someone a really nice gift for someone.

Phew, it took me ages to decide on these outfits - theres so much new stock to choose from! Finally decided on some nice matchy autumn looks.

For girls is one of our lovely new cardigans, made from lambswool - they are so soft! Lots of unusual detailing and they are available from 3-6 months right up to 3-4 years! Looks really cute with this lovely dress (my favourite minimod one!) which is 1-2 years. This outfit looks so cute with a Christmas pudding hat, but if its to early for you we also have lots of stripy knitted hats, and theres actually a cute matching fur lined hat for this dress! 'Jana Mae' was the perfect finishing touch for this look.

For boys is one of our lovely new romper suits (yes i know i havnt posted about them yet - i will soon!), we have them from 0-6 months up to 12-18 months in 2 different colour ways. It looks so smart with a tie bib! Our red bear hat was a perfect match, and 'Fred' has such a nice face that i couldnt resist! Gayle has added lots of our new stock onto the website if you fancy having a look!

So this is where i went for a weekend away recently, and had to share it with you! We stayed in the 50s caravan, which had lots of its original features, beautiful floral wallpaper and bedding, lots of pretty vintage trinkets and oh yeah, ITS PINK! Love Lane Caravans have lots of different vintage caravans to chose from though, and the location is lovely. One of my new favourite places! And its child friendly too, there are swings to play on in the field and nearby is a lovely farm with lots of activities! Ok so maybe i should have waited till next spring to share this (when you can actually go and stay - bit cold in the winter!) but i couldnt wait to post the photos!

New knitwear!

I cant believe how much lovely knitwear we have at the moment! Starting from the top...these tiny hand knitted jumpers are so cute! They are lovely and soft and we have lots of different colours. Next is our christmassy knitwear! The pudding hat has been selling fast already, and we also have sweet little matching booties. My favourite is the knitted bear hat! His face is soo cute! Hes available in Khaki and dark red, and i have to admit, i am quite tempted to see if i can squeeze my head into one! We got some really nice berry hats too, i love the bobbley texture on them, and they tie under the chin, how sweet! We also got some very posh cardigans for girls, in cream and brown, or purple and white. These are available in 3-6 months right up to 3-4 years, and look, how handy - they go perfectly with our dresses! Whimsy dolls

Wow its been a busy week for Gayle! Loads more lovely winter stock arrived - including these gorgeous Whimsy dolls, which deserved a post of their own! We've got lots of lovely dolls, blondes, brunettes and red heads! Each one has a different little dress, and they are all named. We've also got some really cute foxes and cats. They are completely unique, and made by hand America - we are the only UK stockists so you wont see them anywhere else! Sam the squirrel has got to be my favourite - just look at that tail (should a buy myself something sensible, like winter shoes, or a cute toy squirrel? Its a close call!)! Gayle sold her favourite one before i even had a chance to take a photo, but she has assured me he went to a good home! Hopefully these will all go to good homes too, so hurry up if you've got your eye on one!

Wow - its our 100th post on the blog! And also our 10th outfit of the week (or 20th depending how you look at it)! To celebrate Ive done 2 outfits for girls and 2 for boys this week. In true Carry Me Home style, Ive done some extra colourful looks!

The first outfits are for teeny tiny babies - for boys Ive used our cool new tie bib. It looks so cute with these lovely green stripy trousers (part of set) and Gayle's red 'Cheeky Little Monkey' grow (you cant see the writing, but you know the one i mean!). We've got new guitar rattles in stock, and this red and blue one matches perfectly. Also added a blue Benjamin bear and a cosy little knitted hat. What a cute outfit! For girls is this lovely clashing red and pink butterfly baby grow, which is even cuter when worn with a pink cupcake bib, one of Gayle's little hats and some adorable pink Mary Jane socks. A little hand made elephant toy finishes the look of perfectly. The clothes in these outfits are 0-3 months, but we have these in bigger sizes too. And the toys and bibs will do for babies of all ages.

The second lots of outfits are for bigger kids! The boys look is for 2-3 years, some really grown up dark denim jeans, a chunky knit stripy cardigan and this super cool tuxedo t shirt. Added a cute stripy hat (we have loads of different colour ways available) and one of our best sellers - soldier skittles! For girls is one of Stevens dresses - i love this seagull printed one (its 1-2 years, but we have these dresses from 6-12 months right up to 2-3 years). The back is pink and white candy stripes, its so cute! Its reversible too, so you get 2 dresses in 1! It looks cute and colourful with a yellow oops bib and some red leggings. I also added some lovely green cake hair accessories. It would look lovely with these knee high apple socks too!

Anyone watch 'The Inbetweeners'? Well Gayle has been asked to do the production company a (another - shes done a few for them) babygrow, using one of the most popular quotes from the channel 4 series. "My dad is not bent" is frequently said by Neil (the tall stupid one!). You might need to watch the programme to understand it! If you want your own message on a babygrow (or hat, or bib etc) then have a look on the website or come and see Gayle in the shop.

Outfits for teeny tiny babies this week! For girls is one of Gayle's baby grows 'Munchkin' - a really popular seller. Looks really cute with one of Gayle's pink stripy hats, and is also a perfect match with our little Mary Jane socks! Make it a super cute present for someone with a lovely handmade cushion. We've got some lovely new leggings in the shop. And just in time, the weather has suddenly turned really cold! Our favourites at the moment are the panda who likes milk, and the little rabbit, but theres so many to choose from - the drawer is practically over flowing! We only have one or 2 of each design though. They come in size 6 -12 months right up to 2-3 years. Gayles been really busy this week putting lots of new stock on the website - check it out! x

Its that time of the week again already, cant believe it! Gayles back from holiday now - she had a lovely time, lots of sunbathing! And im back at uni, lots of drawing and lectures! We've been really busy here in the shop, i think people must be starting their christmas shopping!

Anyway, for the boys this week we've got one of our new Rock Your Baby tops, some cool jeans and Red bear for company. Remember our popular Pearl T shirt? We've got it in a dress now, even cuter! Look what arrived in the post this morning...the whole family! Meet Patrick, Boo, Ella, Thomas, Dylan, Red, Eve and Benjamin (from Left to right). These bears are designed by Gayle, and made especially for Carry Me Home - you wont find them anywhere else. Cheeky smiles and hearts embroidered upon their feet. They are made from lovely soft towelling, and are completely washable, and safe for babies. Each label reads "Hello, please Carry Me Home . . . x" on one side and "Loveme.hugme.kissme.feedme. My name is Ella. I am small baby bear No. 64. Hand made for Carry Me Home." (Except obviously with their own names and numbers!) Available instore and on our website. Autumn dresses

Steven had made us loads more dresses while i was away - lots of lovely autumn ones! Starting from the top.... some cute woodland creatures and some lovely russian dolls in size 6-12 months. For 1-2 years some pink owls, some lovely sundaes (my favourite!) and some more russian dolls. And for the big girls, some really nice autumn colours - orange and brown owls, pink and maroon birdies and some lovely apples in 2-3 years. Gayle made this personalised t shirt for me to give to Callum when i went up to Orkney. As you can see he really loved it (or is he just smiling because he was allowed to jump on the bed?!). It looks extra cute with Callums dark jeans and lovely stripy shirt - mum did a good job of choosing! For those of you who dont know what Peedie means, its Orcadian for small!
