Busy busy busy!

You might be wondering what we've been up to in the last month - not much has been going on with the blog, we've been so busy this last few weeks! So there's quite a bit of news to share with you. Starting with 2 very special new arrivals! Above is Mimi, Gayle's friends new baby girl, modelling our cute Mary Jane socks. Also, my cousin had a lovely baby boy, Alfie, who i went to meet last week. A slightly belated congratulations on both new arrivals from Carry Me Home!

Also, we have had two exciting whole sale orders to tell you more about soon. And this morning we had order number 500 on our website! There's lots of lovely new stock in the shop, which i will share with you today and tomorrow. Steven popped in to see Gayle in the week too, and mentioned us on his blog.

So as well as everything in the shop keeping us busy, Ive been really busy with uni too. I finally got my dissertation handed in on Monday (74 pages!!), and am now getting stuck into my final collection! Ive also set myself a little challenge, to take a photo a day for a year, and share them on facebook - i might share them with you guys too if I'm not feeling to shy!

Lorna's Portraits

Lorna Freytag is our new favourite photographer here at Carry Me Home! She creates unique and and enchanting children's portraits, inspired by fairy tales and magical landscapes. Here are a small selection of our favourites, it was hard to choose - they are all so lovely! Gayle loves the rocket picture - perfect for cheeky little monkeys! My favourite has got to be the one with beach huts and ice creams (two of my favourite things!). Laura has a great mix of beautiful, classic portrait settings, and magical, fairy tale portraits. They are lovely pictures to be treasured forever! And not only can you choose from her existing backgrounds, you can have her design you a bespoke one - what a perfect gift!

Rock your baby

We had a delivery from Rock Your Baby this week... lots of old favourites and these 2 new designs ready for spring/summer! For girls is the little ruffle front t shirt, very cute! And for boys is this super cool badge print t shirt. My favourite is the 'kid vicious' badge! The girls top is currently available from 3 months right up to 3 years, and we have the badge top in 1-2 and 2-3 years. Check our website for more cool t shirts, or come in and say hello!

Guitars for babies

We got a new delivery of these lovely guitar rattles during the week, and they've been popular already! We have loads of different colours and shapes (my personal favourite is the red). They make a cute gift on their own, and they also go perfectly with our 'I Rock' jumpers and t shirts, which come in black or stripy. Available in store, and on our website. The perfect present for budding rock stars!

Oops!

Its getting to be a bit of a regular occurrence - me forgetting my camera! Luckily Gayle saved the day by emailing in some photos she had on her phone of our super cute sheepskin boots and mittens. They are available in the dark colour shown, or in a really pale colour too. We have 2 different styles of boots, these ugg style ones, or really fluffy ones. Priced at £12.50 for mittens, and £18.50 for boots, they are bargain too! And at the moment they are 20% off! They make an especially lovely gift when packaged up in one of our gift boxes! Hello Finlay!

How cute is this little chap? His name is Finlay (as I'm sure you can tell from his lovely little baby grow!), and he's wearing a special Christmas present. We absolutely love it when you send us in pictures, especially if its something personalised. Its nice to see happy customers!

We can put anything you like on... names, messages, date of birth. Here are just a few of our most recent orders... "Will you marry Daddy" was probably the sweetest one we have had ordered so far (i hope she said yes!), another nice one was "It started with a coffee" which was adapted from our popular "It started with a Kiss". It looked so cute on a white grow with cappuccino coloured writing! I got Gayle to make a lovely grow for my soon to be born cousin which said "I love my big brother Conner". If you cant decide what colours, or what you want written on a personalised baby grow, then we are happy to help! And remember we do hats and bibs too!

Outfit of the week

Wow I've been lazy with the blog recently! What with Christmas and New Year being at the weekend this year we weren't at work on 'Outfit of the week' day. To make up for missing the last 2 Sundays I've worked extra hard on putting these looks together, and i think they're my favourite yet! Normal blogging service now resumed!

For girls is one of Steven's dresses made from my favourite fabric EVER! This is 6-12 months, but we also have it in 1-2 years (and lots of other lovely dresses from 6-12 months right up to 2-3 years). It looks cute layered over this bright yellow long sleeved top, which makes it more practical for winter too. Glammed it up a bit with a pearl bib, and added one of Gayle's Monkey hats to keep little ears cosy. And to finish the outfit off, a pair of super cute socks! These socks come in sets of 6 (for only £14.95 - what a bargain!), all in beautiful colours, and packaged up in a cute box.

And for the boys is one of our most popular baby grows at the moment - organic cotton by Fozia. So cute in navy! This grow is 3-6 months, we also have it in 6-12 months (and it comes in bright pink for girls too!). This little knitted hat with cute ear flaps matches the polka dots, and an apple bib brightens the outfit up. The green socks are similar to the girls socks, in that they come in a set of 6 in a lovely little box. These green ones are the trainer version - for boys we also have cowboy socks and skater socks! The boxes feature really sweet illustrations on the top, making them a really nice little gift.
