Here are some pictures of bunting Ive made recently - Ella, Gracie and Callums mums kindly sent us some pictures to put on the blog!

I seem to have made i mistake with the boys bunting though - i made it to say 'Callum' but that's not Callum in the picture - that's superman!? I went for lovely bright primary coloured fabric patterned with polka dots, gingham, numbers, spacemen and stripes.

Gracie's mum asked for bright, graphic fabric so i went for a mostly pink and green colour palette, with cupcakes, polka dots, butterflies, apples, strawberries and numbers and i think it looks fab with Gracie's bright floral wallpaper.

Ella (Gracie's little sister) needed a soft, vintage colour palette for her bunting so i used lots of pale pink and green fabric - florals, gingham, kittens and spots. And in the corner - it looks like Ella has one of our lovely white 'Thomas' bears - lucky girl!

Carry Me Home bunting is made to order. Just tell us the name or word you would like, if there are any particular fabrics or themes you want, and what colours you fancy! Pop in to the shop and say hello or drop us an email. Hand made by me, can be ready to collect from the shop, or posted to you in a week. Remember bunting isn't the only thing we personalise - Gayle personalises t shirts, baby grows, bibs and hats too!

Childrens Wear Buyer

Wow! Gayle is in this months Childrens Wear Buyer magazine! Shes on page 12 - an interview about Christmas sales, here it is!

Are you feeling confident about sales in the run up to Christmas? I think you have to feel confident at this time of year, if at no other time. We have so many beautiful things; hand made toys are our usual best sellers, such as the Carry Me Home bear from our own inhouse brand - and we have some lovely knitwear this season, too. There's massive competition from online sites but I'm hoping our online purchases will make up about 20% of sales and, though I'm finding customers are spending a little less than last year, we've already had more sales online. In terms of going into sale this winder, we wont do so until January; i don't like to feel pressured to go into sale and you cant compete with the large stores, so i don't. Are you doing anything special instore to help attract more Christmas shoppers? We're involved in Grazia magazines Christmas party evening, where all the shops in the London area offer 20 per cent off one night in the run up to Christmas. There's music and drinking and hopefully lots of shopping. We also offer this discount to our online customers who cant make it.
Are you providing any extra services instore? We provide a custom-made service all year round, which does really well at Christmas. All of the inhouse Carry Me Home designs can be personalised with names or anything the customer would like. We also have custom-made bunting this year; customers can choose the fabrics if they want to or we can match it to their room decoration.

Stocking fillers and gifts for £10 and under - part 2

Time for part 2 of our stocking filler ideas! These wooden soldier skittles have been by far our best seller this Christmas. They are hand painted and come in a little draw string bag, and cost £9.50.

These little socks are my favourite - only £5.95, they fit 0 - 12 months. We have brown or blue trainers for boys, and pink, red or black Mary Janes for girls. Also available - 2 pairs in a gift box for £14.95.

We have a big selection of Beauty and the bib at the moment - pink and blue cupcakes, red apples, strawberries, ladybirds and Christmas puddings! £10 each, they come in a little gift bag so you don't even need to wrap them up!

We have lots of hair treats by Arty and Bella in stock - the ones shown are all £8.95. We have hair bobbles and clips, perfect for little girls. We also have some very cute plasters for £4.50 - spectacular circus, or my favourite - strong man! Remember we are open 11 - 7 this week so come and say hello if you need to get some last minute pressies for Christmas!

Stocking fillers and gifts for £10 and under - part 1

We also have some really cool new bibs from Rock Your Baby - glamorous pearls, 'Its OK I'm with the band' in silver glitter on red, or how about a mum and dad tattoo on a striped background? All £8.95 - what a bargain!

These little games really are perfect stocking fillers for cheeky little monkeys - the snap cards feature nursery rhymes and gorgeous vintage inspired illustrations, and are only £2.95. The Heads and Tails game is £3.95 and will keep little ones entertained on Christmas morning while you have a bit of a lie in!

Gayle's hats make a really lovely little gift at £8.50, and come in blue, pink or white. We have loads of different sayings and pictures on them, including 'Monkey', 'Love Me', 'Little Man' and 'Star', or we can personalise them with baby's name. Of course they match our baby grows and bibs, but they are also perfect on there own.

Stevens 'Happy Accident' badges are perfect for stockings or slipping inside a Christmas card. Unbelievably cute, and very nicely packaged, they are only £1.65. We have cute animals, cartoon characters, vintage illustrations and lots more! My favourite has got to be the rabbit in the front. We have loads more to choose from, come in and ask to have a look!

We are open from 11 till 7 every day this week, and till 8 on Thursday so if you need to do any last minute Christmas shopping after work or during your lunch break this is the place to come! Check back soon to see the rest of our stocking fillers and gifts under £10.

Ive gone for some nice, red, festive looks this week (I'm starting to feel Christmasy now that uni is finished!). For the girls is a cute reversible Minimod dress. Pink and red strawberries on one side, and really bright polka dots on the other. This dress is in 1 - 2 years, but we have lots of other dresses (by Minimod and Steven) from 6 -12 months right up to 2 - 3 years. This dress goes perfectly with our stripy red and white cardi, and to give the outfit a festive feel Ive added a white knitted berry hat and a pink Christmas pudding bib.

For boys is a lovely little 'one off' Christmas baby Long sleeve top by Gayle. Its the only one we have this year, and its so cute! In 0 - 3 months for baby's first Christmas. Added a Micheal the Monkey toy and some cute trainer socks in navy, and a lovely knitted red berry hat. Check our website for more lovely outfit ideas, or come and say hello in our Carnaby street shop (and check out all the Christmas decorations while your at it - amazing!).

Hello! Sorry for the lack of blogging recently... here are 2 reasons why there hasnt been much news to share. The obvious one, the snow, which im sure has affected everyone this last week. This photo was taken between my house and the train station. Believe it or not there is a road under there somewhere! One night this week, i was stranded in London all night, another day i couldnt get into London at all (which was actually yesterday - sorry Gayle!), and another day it took me 3 hours to get in! Its started to melt now - hopefully it all goes away and then comes back on Christmas morning! I have also been really busy at uni this week, finishing of my project, which is being exhibited in the library at Chelsea College of Art (next to Tate Britain if your passing!). Its all finished now, so for the next few weeks i can concentrate on blogging and Christmas shopping! We have lots of lovely Christmas gifts in store and online at the moment, keep checking back to the blog for a post on stocking fillers!

For girls is one of our new dresses from Steven - its size 6-12 months (but we have other dresses in 1-2 and 2-3 years as well!), its one of my favourites at the moment. I love the heart print on the front, but i love the polka dots on the back even more! Looks cute and colourful with a soft purple lambswool cardigan and Louis the Lion. For boys is our new I Rock jumper. We also have it and black and white stripes, and plain black, but its so cute in blue stripes! Available right up to 3 years. Made with love by mrs booth

Look what we've got new in this week! Some lovely gifts by Mrs Booth - just in time for your Christmas shopping! Her lovely illustrations fit in perfectly in our shop. From the top, we've got some lovely posters, shown is the ABC one - we also have 123. We've also got some alphabet charts - available in blue, pink or cream. Each letter has its own cute and quirky picture with it. My favourite is M for mouse! The posters and charts come in lovely little tubes, making them perfect presents. And how cute is the newborn card in the bottom picture? All Mrs Booths products her designed by her in Scotland, and made in the UK. She is inspired by things she loved as a child, and her products explore early reading, writing and counting - and they look super cute too! If you visit this page on her website you can download some free colouring in pictures - they are so cute i might get some for myself! We also got some gorgeous dresses this week. They are all reversible and they have extra lovely prints and patterns. My favourites are the red floral one, which has really cute cats and bees and pears on the other side, and the blue jungle animals one which has pretty vintage style florals on the other side. We have dresses from 3-6 months right up to 2-3 years at the moment, and we have everything from Russian dolls, to classic florals, and from cute birds right up to quirky hedgehogs!

Pearls, Tattoos and Rockstars...

These amazing bibs also arrived during the week - I cant decide which is my favourite! You can choose between a sophisticated black bib with a string of pearls, a stripy 'mum and dad' tattoo style bib, or a red bib with 'Its ok, im with the band' on the front in silver - perfect for the budding rockstar! They look good worn with the matching t shirts or grows, but even cuter worn with clashing baby grows as I have shown here. They fasten at the side of the neck with presstuds, making them practical as well as super cute. We have more cute bibs available online.

Lots of lovely new things in the shop!

Starting with some new things from Olive and Moss - meet Hetty the bunny. I LOVE the little rabbit hat that comes with this set! And the little polka dot trousers are so cute! We also got this cute Louis the lion stripy grow to go with the Louis toy and sleeping bag we already have in stock - the matching set would make a really lovely gift.

We have lots more new toys in too - more Louis the lions, Micheal the monkey and Margot the mouse, but they wont stick around for long, they always prove very popular! And if you look at the front of the blue basket you can see some of Stevens very cute elephants. Check our website to see more Olive and Moss outfits and toys.

For girls is one of Minimods ever popular dresses. They come as small as 3-6 months, like this one, and go right up to 2-3 years.
